Saskatoon PhotosThe city that I lived in from 1989 to 2000 is called Saskatoon. Often referred to as the "city of bridges", it is located in the heart of Canada's prairie provinces, central Saskatchewan. Just because it happened to be a nice, frosty winter day in early February, I decided to take a few photos of the scenery. All of these photos were taken from roughly the central part of the city. Please note that the graphics are fairly large, and I did not bother with thumbnails, so please be patient. Enjoy! As I just mentioned, Saskatoon has a large number of bridges for such a small city (about 250 000 people). This is because of the South Saskatchewan River, which runs right through the middle of it. This also makes the river the centre for a lot of Saskatoon's cultural activity.
Saskatoon's most prestigious hotel can be seen here: the Delta Bessborough! ![]()
The river makes Saskatoon a very pretty place... ![]()
